The Phantom Shadow delivers modern electric convenience and distinctive retro design in three stylish color options: Gloss Black, Gloss Red or Gloss White. It has a patented design by Phantom Bikes owner, John Allen King, with the classic Bobber style of the 1930’s in mind. The Shadow is built on a rust free hydro formed frame, Double Springer Fork, a 3-speed Internal Nexus rear hub, front and rear brakes, 26 x 2.3 Phantom Bike Tires (front and rear), and super-wide 50mm aluminum rims sporting heavy duty 12 gauge stainless steel spokes for a more comfortable ride. In addition, The Shadow comes equipped with a powerful 500W 500 Watt center drive motor, coupled with an extremely reliable 48V 11.6amp battery to give you plenty of power and distance. Each bike has a thumb throttle and a highly visible digital read-out, showing the battery charge strength. The Phantom Shadow is capable speeds ranging from 0-25 MPH, with 3 gears & 9 levels of pedal assist. It boasts a 40/50 mile effective range with pedal assist (20-25 miles effective range with thumb throttle only). Additional features include a rear light reflector and a Large Head Lamp for improved safety and visibility. Our electric bicycles are street legal, to the best of our knowledge, except in New York.
