Wagan Solar Powered Classic Rechargeable LED Lantern with 4w Solar Panel & USB Outlet is an industrial outdoor lantern that can be charged 2 ways; via solar power (includes 4w multi-crystalline solar panel) or AC home power. It looks like a typical lantern except with modern technology added, such as solar recharging capability & brighter LED lights. Each of its 108 LEDs are 3w. Use the high/low switch on this extremely bright lantern to select either the high setting (160 lumens) or low setting (30 lumens). When unit is fully charged, it runs up to 7 hours on high or more than 10 hours on low. Total charging time when unit is completely out of power is about 12 hours, but can vary depending on sunlight's intensity. Use the built-in 5V 2.1A USB power port to charge iPhone/smartphone, iPad/tablets, Kindle/e-readers, etc. Ensure your electronics are always powered when you need them; technology allows information and entertainment to be easily accessible, yet you're out of luck if your electronics have run out of power and could not be recharged. This lantern can be carried or hung by the swing handle on the top of the unit. Possible options include placing the lantern on the ground, setting it on a table, hang from a fixture located above, etc. Use this environmentally friendly lantern in places where regular power is not available or often fails. Overcharge protection is a useful safety feature which prevents the battery from being damaged through overcharging. When the battery is low, the unit will automatically shut down to prolong the life cycle of the battery and prevent it from losing efficiency. Over discharge protection prevents the battery from being drained beyond the battery's ability to recover. Internal battery is 6V 4Ah AGM lead acid which can be charged 2 different ways: solar & home AC power. The AC cord is included.
